The Southern Africa Banking & ICT SummitBanking and ICT Summits has grown to become an essential event in the diaries and minds of Bankers, ICT professionals, Banking and ICT solution vendors from Africa and beyond. This year, Cyber Security Africa held its first summit of the year, “The Southern Africa Banking and ICT Summit” hosted in Lusaka Zambia attracting more than 250 participants from all over the world.
The summit concurrently hosted an exhibition that showcased innovative technologies and Banking solutions. Participants were delighted with the many speeches, presentations, discussions and special networking events, which demonstrated a new mood of determination to innovate and improve technologies. The 2nd Ethiopia Banking & ICT Summit 2014Cyber Security Africa successfully hosted its premier 2nd Annual Ethiopia Banking and ICT Summit in November 21st, 2014 in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. We were pleased to see a diverse and exciting range of delegations from Banks, Micro finance Institutions, Insurances, Governments Ministries and Agencies, International development agencies and private companies from the around the globe. The Banking & IT Security Summit – Dar es salaam Tanzania 2013The East Africa Banking and IT Security Summit 2013 was held in Dar es Salaam Tanzania at the Serena Hotel on 24th – 25th April, 2013. Notwithstanding the tremendous IT Security pressures currently faced organizations attendance was high (with over 200 attendees) and the general atmosphere positive and optimistic. Many leading organizations among them Banks, Private and Public sectors across the Eastern Africa region and beyound sent Senior Manager to the conference. The Summit was further enhanced by contributions and sponsorship from leading international and local strategic partners. Anti-Money Laundering Workshop – Kigali,Rwanda 2012The Anti Money Laundering Workshop 2012, held at the Serena Hotel Kigali Rwanda on 26th September, 2012 brought together key stakeholders from Governments, Law enforcement agencies, Financial Institutions and Security experts both regional, local and International. The one day forum, under the theme “Combating financial crimes in East Africa” organized by Cyber Security Africa and sponsored by among others IBM, Infrasofttech, Eacademy Group and Access Bank Rwanda, was a platform where experts shared the best possible ways to protect companies from fraud, anti-money laundering and terrorist financing measures in case such risks arise in the region.
Banking and Cyber Security Workshop – Kigali, Rwanda 2012The Banking and Cyber Security Workshop 2012, was organized in order to facilitate all players in the financial services market, Government agencies and other organizations to identify the technical, environmental and business risks that could lead to service vulnerability, weaken consumer confidence and ultimately cause brand damage and serious revenue decline. The event took place at the Kigali Serena Hotel – Kigali Rwanda on March 23rd, 2012 within the framework of “Tacking the emerging Cyber Security Threats”.
East Africa ATMs, Cards and Mobile Banking Security Summit 2011The East Africa ATMs, Cards and Mobile Banking Security Summit 2011 took place on the 13th and 14th of December, 2011 at the Laico Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. Government of Kenya officials led by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication Dr. Bitange Ndemo and representatives from local and international public and private sector companies met with a view to addressing the main challenges in Banking and payment transactions facing the East Africa region. The Summit opened with a brief welcome remarks by Mr. Sammy Kioko the Alliance Manager of Cyber Sec Africa the organizers, who gave statistics of the current figures that Banks lost in the year 2010, Setting the pace for the deliberations on the Banking Security threats in East Africa.
