Dr. Debretsion Gebremichael is Deputy Prime minister for finance and economic cluster and the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Ethiopia, and currently Board Chair of Ethiopian Electric Power Corporation, Ethiopia. Dr Debretsion was previously Director General of the Ethiopian Information and Communication Technology Development Agency. He holds B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. in Electrical/Communication Engineering, M.Sc. in Public Policy and Management, and PhD in IT.

Mr. Amady Kadhi Ben Djouma

He worked as IT consultant and technical instructor for various banks and company in Tanzania in different areas of the technology especially oracle technologies and finally he opened his own company called Actant Technologies Limited in Tanzania. He participated in various IT training especially in Oracle technologies with various companies.

Mind Mabhunu is currently a Senior Manager: Customer Financial Solutions at Standard Bank focusing on Personal services and Voucher payments. Mind’s main responsibilities include designing new payment solutions for retail and corporate clients, developing payment related ‘fintech’ solutions into viable products in line with the overall customer value propositions and managing the related customer and supplier relationships. Mind is currently responsible for Standard Bank’s mobile money (Instant Money), other third party remittance services and value added services.
With more than 7 years’ experience in Banking and Banking technology, Mind has held a number of positions in ATMs at Standard Bank including Heading Innovation and Channel Design, Strategy Management, and Strategic projects delivery.
Mind spent two years at McKinsey and Company, one of the leading Management Consulting firms globally, an Associate Consultant. During his time at McKinsey he consulted mainly on banking and banking technology, retail and ICT in Africa.
He holds an MBA (cum laude) from the Wits Business School and Master of Commerce degree from Rhodes University. Having previously lectured economics at Rhodes University, Mind, is currently part-time faculty at UNISA.

Mr. Meried Bekele, Founder & CEO of IE Networks, was the first person to become Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) in Ethiopia in 2007 at age 24 while he was working as senior network operations expert for WoredaNet in Ministry of Communications and IT (then called EICTDA). Meried has got BSc in Electrical Engineering from Mekelle University and MBA in IT Management from Trident University International in CA, USA. He is certified in IT service management (ITIL) and project management professional (PMP). Since November 2007, he has served as technical and project management consultant of Ethio telecom for USD 1.5 Billion national next generation network (NGN) program, which includes IP/MPLS, optical DWDM/SDH backbone/backhaul, fixed line NGN, CDMA, mobile (GSM/3G/LTE) and Network Operations Center (NOC) projects. He is also the architect of a national research and education network (NREN) that interconnects all public higher education institutions in Ethiopia - EthERNet (Ethiopian Education and Research Network) – with 40Gbps IP/MPLS OTN optical backbone. Moreover, he had founded and led IE Networks into a homegrown forefront IT infrastructure solution provider for Ethiopian Enterprises and public institutions.
